A Design/Build project was undertaken for Bi-Rite Furniture to address the customer’s need for increased storage capacity. Due to the existing site constraints, the required additional storage in their existing warehouse needed to be vertical. As a result, a high-pile fire sprinkler system was required. Following an evaluation of the City water main’s capacity, it was determined that a 10,000-gallon auxiliary fire tank and pump system would be necessary to meet fire protection requirements. The project included the construction of a new 400 SF pre-engineered building on a structural concrete foundation, along with site utility improvements and fire alarm/life safety system upgrades.
